WORKPLACE AND INDUSTRIAL ACCIDENTS
In 2007, the Ontario Ministry of Labour reported over 250,000 industrial accidents with 100 of them resulting in death from traumatic injuries and other immediate causes. Having an unqualified employee clean up the scene may be traumatic and dangerous for them and others who visit or work at the site or who operate any machinery involved.
Some of these accidents may involve machinery that is vital to ensure the company or project continues in business. Prior to reinstating the equipment, it may need to be disinfected or disassembled for a thorough cleaning and debrisment. This work may be done at our warehouse or at another appropriate location. Attention needs to be paid to the safety of those tasked with the project such as ensuring lockout/tag out if necessary, Personal Protective Equipment, fall arrest, confined space entry and other regulations that apply.
